Vesta have been shortlisted for Interior Design Scheme – Europe Award in The International Design and Architecture Awards 2020.
Vesta were required to create a show home inspired by the Beverly Hills Hotel in a development of new homes in Beckton. It was important to develop an inspiring interior that would add excitement to an area without many signature sights. From Vesta’s research into Beverly Hills Hotel, interiors were to incorporate Hollywood elegance, glamour, luxury and a sense of escapism.
The designer’s believe that Beverly Hills itself is a place where retro meets contemporary, a pink lovers heaven and a place where people dare to be different, they knew they had to create the ‘wow factor’ and take this show apartment to the next level whilst also creating something liveable.
The living area was created to have a more homely feel with clear botanical references tying in the Hollywood inspiration. Vesta kept the luxurious finishes running through with soft pink velvets and the muted green sofa and decorative accessories, and then introduced the neon retro ‘Beckton Parkside’ light; this introduces the Beverly Hills retro inspiration with a bold and playful contrast. A key feature within the master bedroom was the use of chinoiserie wallpaper, it’s soft, elegant and luxurious and is a great alternative way to create a feature wall within a room.
Vesta carried a theme throughout the apartment, with continuous touches of luxury, glamour, vintage and contemporary – a real eclectic mix that marries superbly – yet every room has its own unique stamp on it. The entrance hall is dramatic and bold, the living room is more homely with a botanical theme and luxurious finishes and introduces that nod to the retro, the master bedroom is elegant and chic with a classic meets contemporary design and the second bedroom is slightly more dramatic with a wonderful balance of block colour and pattern, yet still evokes a feeling of relaxation and luxury. Every space has been styled to consider a young couple or city worker – cocktail books, glasses and alcohol on the sideboard, and fashionable botanicals feature heavily within the living area.
