Moore & Giles, leading designer and developer of luxury natural leathers, announced the launch of the Bill Amberg Collection for Moore & Giles, a new printed leather collection created in collaboration with Bill Amberg Studio, the renowned leatherwork studio founded by British designer and craftsman, Bill Amberg.
The new collection features six beautifully detailed designs digitally printed on the world’s finest leather. Inspired by shapes and silhouettes found in nature and in traditional textile craft, the designs offer a broad range of options in color and scale to maximize their appeal in both commercial and residential applications.
A celebrated leather craftsman and designer, Bill Amberg has spent the past several years perfecting the art of digital printing on leather, going so far as to establish a dedicated division within his namesake design studio known as Bill Amberg Print. His modern take on leather decoration employs specialist digital printing technology to ensure the natural character and grain of leather remain intact. Previous to launching the Bill Amberg Collection for Moore & Giles, Amberg has introduced two collections created in partnership with some of the world’s most respected artists, fashion and interior designers including Marcel Wanders, Alexandra Champalimaud, Tom Dixon and Faye Toogood.
“The Bill Amberg Collection for Moore & Giles further builds upon our “industry first” range of printed leather hides. Produced using our highly innovative production process, it marries both the inherently luxurious, tactile and versatile qualities of leather with a series of covetable new designs by Bill Amberg Studio,” said Amberg.
“We’re thrilled to be working with Moore & Giles, a company that I’ve admired and respected for a long time,” notes Amberg. “We now have an unrivaled opportunity to launch, nurture and grow this exciting and ground-breaking range on a global scale. The new collection is an exciting development for both of us.”
