Garden of Eden was styled by BK Interior Design to reflect just that, a representation of how the land of Adam and Eve may look today. With added cultural references to the clients blend of Indonesian and oriental culture, BK Interior Design have provided their client’s with a sense of adventure, along with a house full of comfort and warmth.
BK Interior Design’s inspiration was to mimic Garden of Eden with it being a place of peace and happiness, as well as luxury and fulfilment. BK Interiors introduced luxuriant greenery throughout the home, as well as earthy tones and natural textures to create the Garden. The Master Bathroom highlights the combination of luxury and nature, introduced in the choice of colour scheme and materials. BK Interior Design had the marble feature green to incorporate the garden palate, along with the texture to imitate the calm flow of water for a relaxing atmosphere. This is combined with the organic tones of black and brown to provide contrast to the lighter colours, as well as hints of gold for subtle opulence.
The main family area is the dining and kitchen area, where the amalgamation of colours, textures and materials allow for BK Interior Design to fulfil the wants of the client. Continuing the contrasting light and dark elements with levels of green, the garden imagery is still signified, yet enhanced by the natural shapes provided by the lighting piece. The heightened use of gold and warm light means that this room exudes luxury. BK Interior Design also incorporated cultural aspects in the design of this area, as requested by the client.
This home finds many ways to radiate luxury and comfort, from white and gold colour tones that are grounded by wooden floors and warm lighting, to the implementing of a home theatre in the basement. Still, the cohesive ties of nature and the peace that is found there can be seen in each area of this family home.
