Inspired by the Broadway market in Hackney, and Regent’s canal which winds its way through this iconic London neighbourhood, the design creates a sense of flowing water, a river meandering through the city, alongside the mechanical sturdiness of the canal locks.

Nature meets industry in the Broadway, whose impressive profile gives this piece a strong personality and distinct character. A powerful and style-savvy choice for your interior, this coffee table expresses a deep understanding of technique and form and represents a new post-modern direction for DAVIDSON London.

Creativity and progressive craftsmanship join forces in this contemporary coffee table. A statement piece that would suit light and airy modern interiors but could also add modern-day edge to a darker room, the power of the Broadway lies in its originality and inventiveness.

The top is finished in ombré lacquer which has been sprayed by hand to allow a variation in tone. This technique creates a gentle movement as you look across the piece, the surface changing according to the light. This effect cleverly echoes the play of light on water; the rippling highlights and shadows of Regent’s canal as it winds its way through London.

The brass-plated cast aluminium legs complete the unique look – progressive, expressive, and imaginative all at once. They are positioned so as to create an offbeat asymmetry that adds to the overall mood of 21st century contemporary chic.

The legs were created by running a digital simulation through a piece of computer software in order to capture that moment when moving water pours through a canal lock gate. Evoking that thundering movement where water meets metal, the table represents this collision of the man-made and the natural, resulting in a piece that is utterly unique in outlook and attitude.
