CADA Design Group has reached the shortlist of the retail interior category of the Asia Pacific Property Awards with their food hall in the Gyungki Department Store.

CADA was briefed to create a ‘one stop shop’ gourmet food hall with an ‘international influence’ within an existing food space, with offers including fruit and vegetables, meat, confectionary and wine. The space also incorporates a restaurant and the CADA-designed Dean and Deluca store. CADA wanted to create a food market in the centre of the food court that can easily be adapted for special occasions and events. It’s based on a typical market concept, so they showed a lovely expanse of roof, similar to the one in Borough Market in London.
