When envisioning their first upholstery piece, Maison Arabella wanted to create something that would elevate any interior and add personality. The inspiration derives from modernist classics which were reinterpreted in a way that befits their own design ethos and aesthetics.
Born from Maison Arabella’s considered approach to design, the choice of genuine materials applied in a new and experiential way has been a core element of the design. The clean lines and soft curves result in a fusion of the feminine and the masculine. The piece that can be placed in a variety of settings, grouped or as a standalone statement. Ultimately, the designers wished to achieve a certain versatility, celebrating materials and functionality.
For the Chair Objet, each detail – from design to manufacturing – has been carefully considered. The frame consists of two pieces of solid metal welded together to create a distinctive A shape structure. The minimalism of the design is emphasised by the handle to the back which constitutes an elegant and tactile feature to provide ease of movement. Deceptively delicate, the shape of Chair Objet takes into consideration careful ergonomic design for a supporting and comfortable seat without compromising on aesthetics.
The ability to add personality and make it your own; the Chair Objet is available in a solid brass or a matte black and brass combination frame and the upholstery can be customized from a large selection of fabrics and leather piping.
Arabella thrives on taking something classic and re-contextualising it. The design of the Chair Objet offers great versatility. It can be used as a set for a dining table arrangement, in pairs or a single statement piece. The large offering of upholstery options and the two metal variants mean that it can be customised to any liking and complement any setting.
