This project, a chalet in Verbier with contemporary architecture was designed with quality materials providing a beautiful panorama of the Swiss Alps. Chalet Nevalis, located somewhere away from the resort of Verbier, naturally fits into an exceptional setting, in a privileged place enjoying maximum sunlight. The property perfectly overlooks the valley, facing the eternal snows of Mont Blanc and Combins.
Chalet Nevalis is directly inspired by rural mountain architecture and Cittolin Polli & Associés SA aimed to reinterpret the architecture and features of ancient mountain huts, barns or chalets in a luxurious environment to reflect the romance and nostalgia nourished by collective memory. In addition, the frame extends from the inside to the outside, to bring depth and framing to the landscape.
Quality materials have been used in accordance with cultural influences and in order to respect the environment harmoniously, which has allowed the selection mainly of old wood, sawn timber, local natural stones and slate. Inside, the quality finishes meet the requirements of customers whilst ensuring a mountain atmosphere. The key aspect of the project is full integration into the site with respect for the traditional mountain style combined with a modern way to build.
The result is a gentle mix between tradition precisely measured originality, innovation and characterful materials. The windows up to the frame and the open angles allow perfect harmony with the mountains of the valley. The project represents current trends and inspirations while keeping the place in mind and using new materials and technologies intelligently them timeless.
