design et al is pleased to announce that Bert Frank have been shortlisted for a Lighting: Lamp Award in the International Product Design Awards 2016.
Machined almost entirely from solid brass the Stasis lamp contrasts sharp brass angles with soft copper curves. The arm pivots to provide a useful task table lamp and floor reading lamp.

The detailing of the pivot point is simple well executed engineering that looks stunning, the satin brass contrasting with the polished copper also offers a really interesting intersection.
It has a very elegant form that is born from its functional requirements, nothing is over complicated or unnecessary yet it makes a very visual decorative impact.
