The clients purchased this previously tired home specifically for the river views. They were ready to demolish the whole property and rebuild, until D-COR showed them the endless possibilities. An expansion to the back of the house to draw you closer to the river and take full advantage of the view was essential to the final design and made the biggest impact throughout the entire space.
This residential project is located on the edge of a river and it was important to take advantage of the surrounding views. All the built-in and mobile furniture pieces, designed by D-COR, were customized and carefully thought out specifically for this home. The couch was intentionally designed as a 360-degree item with the ability to comfortably enjoy every angle. The banquette and dining table were designed in a way that could accept large parties and ensure that each person could profit from the interior and exterior views.
The kitchen island is multi-functional and thoughtfully located in the centre of the home so that even when cooking, you can still enjoy the company of your guests or simply the outdoor surroundings. This project is located in a suburb of Quebec City, right on the edge of the famous Saint-Lawrence river. The location was key to the design as D-COR knew they had to incorporate large windows and carefully plan out the space so that every individual area could profit from the exterior view.
The interior of this home is completely custom, and every room was carefully planned out so that you have access to every view. The interior views were just as important as the exterior. The open concept allows every individual space to have a view of the fireplace, the other spaces and of course, the gorgeous exterior.
