design et al are delighted to announce that Jeffrey Beers International have been shortlisted for a Hotel Suite Award in The International Hotel and Property Awards 2016.
Based in an island paradise in Bahamas, the Hartford wing of the Ocean club Hotel offers a harmonious meeting of classical, romantic colonial architecture with elegant interiors. Allowing the new design to flow seamlessly with the other existing elements on the property maintained the colonial flavor that has charmed guests for years whilst simultaneously ensuring the experience is enhanced with each visit.
The 52 newly renovated rooms showcase 5 different layouts, each one embellished with luxurious textures and clean lines with its own private outdoor space to create a serene haven for the guest to relax and enjoy. With headboards of walnut and embossed leather, and ceilings of walnut planks with white wood beams married with solid white walls, the interiors give the air of a ship’s cabin. Hanging from cast metal ropes, nautical-feeling bedside pendant lights provide a warming glow, adding to the cozy ambiance.
It was important to draw from the venues location and inspired by the natural surroundings of the island, the color scheme is focused primarily on breezy neutrals and deep blues with pops of crimson to reflect this.
The courtyard had to configured in a way that would welcome multiple parties without losing privacy or intimacy. A European inspired outdoor living room was created in answer to this, using landscaping, trellises and strategically positioned seating clusters. Creating a sense of effortless glamour and sophistication with a flare of drama, all without sacrificing the welcoming warmth that comes naturally to this traditional beach destination.
