design et al are delighted to announce that Lonni Paul Design has been shortlisted for in the International Design and Architecture Awards 2015.
Giuliana & Bill Rancic Chicago home is a rebuild of an 1800’s era Brownstone on Chicago’s Gold Coast. The home owners wanted a traditional home with an updated and fresh vibe.
The designer used a lot of architectural details like wall panelling and heavy mouldings to achieve the look. Lonni Paul also used a blue colour scheme in most of the rooms because not only was it the client’s favourite colour but because it would feel like a bit of California summer during cold Chicago winters.
The goal was to design a traditional Chicago home that would be a casual and comfortable living environment for a young hip family. The favourite aspect of the project is the designer’s two story master bath/closet. Lonni Paul has worked with this client before and really understand their aesthetic. It was a collaborative process between the designer and the client and the great experience is shown in the final product.
