Luxe et al are delighted to announce that Luxury Projects were the winners of the Deck Design Award for The International Yacht & Aviation Awards 2017.
This design elements for this project included the efficiency of the use of space, creating ambient environments to live in, making the yacht feel more spacious – a yacht to really enjoy at all times and in all spaces. The design brief was to focus on creating a continuity from outdoor to indoor and ambiences offering an incredible variety of space. Luxury Projects, following the brief of the owners, created different areas to sunbathe, dine, relax and to wind down.In order to achieve these improvements on the layout of the yacht, Luxury Projects designed the following: a new sun awning above the Jacuzzi on flydeck, 6x pes carbon tubes for the spindle tightening system, pockets screwed on the bulwark and on the Jacuzzi structure. New fly deck seats – starboard side: modification of the sofa backrest, addition of a new structural side table, sofa extensions sustained by stainless steel legs. Port Side: Modification of the sofa backrest, removal of a part of the sofa (forward square angle), addition of 2 new structural side tables each side of the sofa. And the aft maindeck seat/table: modification of the seatback, create a new shelf, modification of the seat profile. The deck also featured a new LP designed dining table.Luxury Project’s favourite aspects of the design was the outdoor atmospheres which are really welcoming and warm. The special new outdoor fabrics with custom-made LP design patterns and the dining tables design with a custom-made teak inlaid pattern. LP achieved the realisation of intimate atmospheres for all the outdoor spaces, a total new layout of the fly, where a new lounge sofa was added facing the newly created dining area. LP believe the design integrates into the wider environment as they have been able to merge comfort with the design of new functional spaces.
