Luxe et al are delighted to announce Luxury Projects who were the winners of the Lighting Scheme Award in The International Yacht & Aviation Awards 2017.
Modern and minimalistic are the key words to describe this yacht – where light and functionality are perfectly balanced. Following the brief of the young owners, specifically asking for an “all-white” yacht, the design approach was ‘less is more’. A clear design brief allowed Luxury Projects Design Studio to develop a wider perception of spaces, thanks also to the introduction of innovative ceiling “light cuts”, absolutely avoiding any old style light spots.Behind the single architecture details, the lighting design project contributed enormously to the final feeling of warmth and cosiness of the interiors. Using state-of the art LED techniques (traditional spots replaced with indirect down lights created by LED reflections), white colour temperatures were carefully selected along with silver foil ceiling recessed surfaces. In all outdoor spaces the idea of creating warm atmospheres to enjoy especially after the sunset. Therefore, the use of LED custom-made lights for the exterior areas aimed to achieve welcoming ambiences where dark and lighted areas are perfectly balanced.Luxury Projects favourite aspect of the Lighting Project was that they managed to achieve warmness of the ambiences even in an “all-white” minimalistic interior. The yacht benefits from a new fully advanced LED customised lighting system, also used for all new outdoor lights. LP designed décor wall lamps and custom-made wall lights in the owner & guest cabins. The new lighting system provided is neatly integrated in the new interior. It is always a great creativity effort to allow innovative design concepts to be neatly integrated in a new interior. Altraluce produced the LED techniques indirect down lights and Fala Marchetti produced the custom-made wall lights which were all based on an LP design. Luxury Projects have stated that it is always an amazing experience to create something from scratch, perfectly engineered and produced by their Italian top craftsmanship.
