Founder and Creative Director Jason Lawson began LWSN as an outlet to create a line of luxury, handcrafted fine art lighting with a timeless quality. The idea being to pair age old techniques with new age lighting technology to create modern classics shared among generations. Working with only the finest materials, each piece is created one at a time by teams of expert craftsman in the rolling landscape of the Texas Hill Country. From lost wax cast Bronze to hand sculpted Crystal to hand forged Steel and Iron, the fabrication process brings a sense of the Old World into the New World. Each piece is a one of a kind, signed and numbered edition directly from the artists hands.
The Crystal Antler Chandelier came about as a result of working with a client that wanted a contemporary take on the traditional antler chandelier. LWSN designed and produced the chandelier utilizing hot glass sculpting techniques as well as lost wax cast bronze. The antlers are lit internally with LEDs inside the bronze base, with each antler becoming a light source. The design was a culmination of years of working with both glass, bronze and lighting. The idea of illuminating the solid glass antlers only became possible with the development of the small LED light bulb. This new technology has enabled a new era of lighting that is both efficient and discreet. The size of the light source allows for many applications within fixtures that traditional lighting never offered.
