design et al are delighted to announce that Ronald Lu & Partners have been shortlisted for Interior design Scheme – Asia Pacific Award in The International Design & Architecture Awards 2019.

Approximately 150 Square meters in size the show flats coziness brings to life luxury lifestyle, and design concept using vertical design elements and contrasting coloured materials to create a warm, elegant and sumptuous atmosphere. Breaking through the traditional flat layout with its closed off individual rooms, the design features a series of connected spaces which generates a spacious yet linked feeling. The bar area injects a social function between the kitchen and the dining area while a feature bookshelf in the living room echoes a similar bookshelf in the study room. The Floor patterns, ceiling and a glass partition further create seamless connections between the living room and the study room.

The Living room design also called for a three-dimensional feature wall – a visually interesting element that ties the flat together and impresses guests from the entrance. Together, the interior design materials create a warm, contrasting and luxurious atmosphere. The flats furniture is made with contrasting yet complementary materials including stone surfaces, leather and mustard yellow accents welcomes the owner, their family and guests.

Family and home are part of the most important thing in Chinese traditional culture. The Interior design successfully built an elegant home with a warm mood welcoming the owner, families and guests to drop by. It becomes a perfect place for the family gatherings and bonding time.

The feeling of luxurious simplistic lifestyle is brought to life in several ways: through the break through layout with its flexibility and strong social function; the floor pattern, ceiling and glass partition further create subtle connection among difference areas, and through the contrasting yet complementary selections of furniture and materials.
