Luxe et al magazine is delighted to announce that Soyaslan Design have been shortlisted for Concept under 40 Metres Award in The International Yacht & Aviation Awards 2017.
A design that the owner will be glad to have and happy to sail by a perfectly balanced use of luxury and functionality. In this project Soyaslan Design aimed to reach the comfort level of a 50 Metre Motor Yacht in a 34 Metre Motor Yacht. Due to economic uncertainty of recent years the designers wanted to offer a more approachable luxury without cutting down on the pleasure of the owners. Soyaslan Design was founded in 1992 by Turhan Soyaslan who has had a leading role in Turkish shipbuilding industry area since 1980. They provide consulting services for both motor and sailing yachts as well as others. Their company vision is to “create aesthetic, functional, innovative and world-class quality projects which can be shown as a reference.”
Soyalsan Design worked towards a modern and masculine look with current design ideas like symmetrical balconies on the main saloon and large hemi spherical windows at the owner’s study. The idea was to design a motor yacht that will attract attention and will not only be appreciated by its owner but also admired by those who see it sailing by.
On the more technical side, Soyaslan optimized a semi displacement hull that reaches up to 18 knots and added “zero speed stabilizers” for maximum comfort. Soyaslan Design try to keep up with current design trends so that they can offer timeless designs that are always one step ahead of other companies. Soyaslan believe that after analysing the movements on the market, they foresee that the balance between the luxury and comfort with the size of the boat will be very welcome by motor yacht owners.
