design et al are delighted to announce that SuMisura have been shortlisted for a Living Space- Global Award in The International Design and Architecture Awards 2016
This luxurious penthouse of about 3000 square feet in size is thoughtfully set out over 2 floors. The penthouse comprises of a double volume space in the living, 3 bedrooms on the first floor and a generous master suite with a roof terrace on the second floor. Despite its much sought after location and nestled in a highly prestigious residential area; the unit did not have a superb view. As such, the designers worked with geometric patterns and lines on the floor, ceiling, and highlighted the curtains with punches of blue and champagne gold to distract eyes away from the view outside. More importantly, the designers input a tall screening comprising of topiaries of various height to create a visual interest and at the same time, to direct the visual inwards. A pair of outdoor lounge chairs at the outdoor balcony lends themselves to the living space when the glass doors slide open, allowing for physical interaction between the living and its balcony. The beautifully hand tufted rug is a stunning centrepiece. Nicely framed up by the angular sofa, the rug holds the many bespoke furniture pieces together in the space. Other eye catching pieces include the art deco chandeliers and wall lamps that bring about the glamour and luxury in this space. A combination of bespoke furniture, fine materials, deep colours and art deco inspired geometric lines has resulted in an impressive living area that the client wanted.
