design et al are delighted to announce that Taylor Interiors have be shortlisted for a Kitchen Over £100,000 Award in the The International Design and Architecture Awards 2016.
The design and furnishing executed by the Taylor Interiors team marries bespoke finishes with technical capabilities. Gaggenau appliances offer functionality with the technical ability for private chefs to cater for large groups. White goods are hidden and a wine cooler and coffee machine are built into wenge veneer wall panels. Wall panels are coordinated with contemporary wenge veneer units and complemented by a cream silestone counter top by Cesar. The central island is a stylish feature and houses the cooker hobs and units are cleverly arranged underneath the worktop for practical storage.
The open-plan living area is designed to offer spaces for both dining and relaxing. Suspended above the Dona table and chairs are eight Frame coral lights by Terzani, featuring a metal coral leaf enclosed inside borosilicate glass, presenting a delicate impression of nature. The recessed ceiling is fitted with LED lights to suggest a range of lighting moods. The dining table is adjacent to a Casadesus sofa and the wall mounted Bang & Olufsen television adds to the comfortable ambience. Four artworks were selected to coordinate with the uniform palette that flows through the kitchen, marrying chrome, rich chocolate, white and cream tones across the marble flooring, furnishings and accessories, down to the smallest details in the table settings.
