design et al are delighted to announce that Viterbo Interior Design have been shortlisted in the Asia Pacific Interior Design, Residential £1-2.5 million category
Viterbo Interior Design have designed this family Pied a Terre in Singapore. It is an apartment for a family with 4 young children that lies at the heart of the Island. The family are citizens of the world with a passion for fine, one of a kind furnishings, art and rare pieces of design. This project combined the unusual treasures of their personal collection with the designer’s vision for their perfect home.
In keeping with the family’s unique style, the design team were able to devise an entirely individual concept for the project. Rich in colour, bold patterns and multiple textures are used in each room. Whilst the home itself offers a tranquil haven for the family unit, the design brings the buzz of the thriving city, and the resident’s stylish flair, within for a truly bespoke living space.
Gracinha Viterbo was the lead designer on this project and is described by her colleagues as a ‘Natural Curator of Chic’. In this project she has curated a balanced scheme which emphasises the family’s preference for high-quality design with individualistic flair. She has made bold design choices and incorporated a stylised metaphor for design imitating life; the multi-layered aspects of the interiors reflect the many facets of family life.
The overall ambience of the Singapore home is similar to that of an art-gallery, guests are warmly welcomed and the design is ordered in such a way as to encourage appreciation as the house plays host. However, the space itself is entirely durable.
