design et al are delighted to announce that Consero London have been shortlisted for Residential £20 Million Plus (Property by Value) Award in The International Design & Architecture Awards 2019.
A unique and exclusive 19.5 sq. ft house set over 3 floors, in 1.75 acres of secluded landscaped gardens, overlooking the Sunningdale golf course. The brief for Consero London was to take the classical stone and brick exterior and express those timeless principles throughout the property’s interior.
The client requested soft tones and elegant features which would appeal to both the local and international market. Consero London created an elegant home, with 6 suite bedrooms and en suites, a swimming pool and spa wing, cinema, grand kitchen (as well as utility, boot room and catering kitchen), dining room, drawing room, family room, orangery, library, study and lift. All the floor plans, doors, bathrooms, joinery, lighting, full turnkey FF&E, accessories and finishes have been designed and co-ordinated by the in-house Interiors team to the client’s budget. Even the artwork was curated and developed for the property by the designers alongside the artist.
The tall ceilings and large picture windows were an important factor when designing the interior architecture. The coffered ceilings in the drawing room and study are key highlights of two grand and elegant rooms. The secret door connecting the library and study is an exciting surprise to visitors of the house and the dramatic silk wallpaper in the dining room lends itself to hosting lavish dinner parties. The subtle incorporation of modern AV and technology was also key. High end appliances, luxury marbles and sanitary ware and ironmongery have all been specified here.
The kitchen is at the heart of the house. The team created a classical country kitchen with a modern and luxurious touch. It features a large Lacanche range cooker, Sub-zero wine fridges, a hidden pantry cupboard and feature calacatta marble top. The pool is above ground and lets in vast amounts of natural light. Bronze lanterns hang on the walls finished in venetian plaster and has a steam, sauna and shower. His and her changing rooms have walk in showers and the gym is perfect for a treatment room or yoga studio.
The circular first floor landing, with feature panel mouldings, leads to 5-bedroom suites. The master en suites include book matched marble and Murano glass sanitary- ware. The 2nd floor has guest accommodation, a cinema, guest W.C. and entertainment space with large folding doors onto a roof top terrace with stunning views. The designs are grand, yet the house is very welcoming and was designed with family life in mind.
