Designed by Cuarto Interior, The Hotel VP Plaza de España is a five-star hotel in Madrid, nearby the Royal Palace and the Debod Temple offering 214 rooms, parking and spa. Moreover, on the 12th floor of the building is located the Gingko Restaurant & Sky Bar with breath-taking views over Madrid.

The Hotel VP Plaza de España overlooks the Plaza de España at the end of the Gran Vía in the centre of Madrid. This is a very handy location as you can walk to the Royal Palace and the trendy Malasaña and Conde Duque areas.

CUARTO INTERIOR

Throughout, Cuarto Interior created the feeling of light and space throughout the massive contemporary building, where glints of gold lend glamour to a neutral palette and a vertical ‘garden’ softens the modern architecture with greenery. Cuarto Interior embellished with rich tones of teal, tangerine, aubergine and mustard to create a zingy vibe in the Ginkgo Skybar, which stretches across the 12th floor with 360-degree views of the city. Dramatic artworks throughout the property include an extraordinary metal waterfall sculpture by Catalan artist Pere Gifre, which tumbles down a wall from the pool, appearing to splash onto courtyard below.

The Biloba Spa on the first floor has a 24-hour gym, a sauna and a pleasant hydrotherapy pool where you can gaze out at people dashing across the Plaza de España. Cuarto Interior designed 214 rooms and suites, divided into nine categories, from the fourth floor up to the 17th. The top floor houses the most spacious suites, which have large terraces with quite probably the best hotel-room views in Madrid. Some rooms in the Superior category also have terraces, while others are equipped with crosstrainers and stationary bikes. There are wooden floors, and décor comes in natural tones – calming shades range from ivory to taupe.

Although Cuarto Interiors design is quite minimalist with clean lines, there is a luxury feel with king-sized beds, plenty of space, blackout blinds, easy-to-control lighting and plenty of sockets. All bathrooms have a tub and a shower, plus L’Occitane products and a Black Mambo hairdryer.
