design et al are delighted to announce that Singapore based design firm Design Intervention have been Shortlisted into the International Hotel & Property Awards 2015. Their project ‘Alta Ego’ has been shortlisted in the Bar/Club/Lounge category.
The project is a three storey bar/night club, with a courtyard garden, situated along the premier leisure strip in downtown Singapore.The Client’s vision for the project was to have each level conjure a different mood, each reflecting the type of Music that would be played there.
The street level lounge plays easy listening music and we have created an intimate, yet striking space that stands out from the competition but at the same time has a warming inviting vibe. In the basement bar the DJ will play hip hop music and our brief was to create an uncomplicated backdrop that would complement the simple beat. On the upper level, we have created a luxurious area for private members and VIP guests that oozes a richness but at the same time has an edgier, cooler undercurrent that complements the house music that is played here and distinguishes the club from it’s competitors. The golden angular bar with the Rhino heads has become a real talking point in town.
