design et al are delighted to announce that Design Intervention‘s Canton Sofa has been shortlisted for the Sofa Award at the International Product Design Awards 2015.
The Canton Sofa which features in Design Intervention’s Black & White House project (shortlisted in the International Design & Architecture Awards 2015) combines mid century modern lines with a chinoserie twist. The seat base and back are a contemporary take on a traditional chesterfield, featured tailored button detailing. The legs are finished in glossy black with gold detailing, reminiscent of oriental lacquer ware. Traditional calligraphy adds a final flourish.
