Trained at the AA, worked for Foster Associates before setting up my own business in 1990
How would you describe your personal interior design style?
The juxtaposition of styles from traditional to contemporary through the layering of materials to create an eclectic and truly original interior.
Where does your design inspiration come from?
Listening intently to my client’s stories and brief. Travel and set design.
In what direction do you feel that design is moving towards in a general sense?
Residential spaces are gearing towards leisure and healthy lifestyle. Home cinema and entertaining spaces and gyms and areas focused on wellbeing are becoming the heart of the modern home.

If you could offer one piece of advice when it comes to interior design, what would it be?
There is no such thing as an interior design emergency.
How important are The International Design and Architecture Awards as recognition of talent and achievement?
It is fundamental to the continued evolution and recognition of the profession.
What projects are you currently working on?
Grade II listed building extension and orangery. Barn conversion with two bedroom guest accommodation, London townhouse refurbishment, lateral conversion of two apartments in Mayfair.
What are your aims and goals for the next twelve months?
To continue on my path and not to be afraid of a challenge.
