Tell us a little about your background in design (education, experience, etc)
Agnieszka Buczkowska-Korlińska, a graduate of the Faculty of Architecture and Town Planning at the Warsaw University of Technology. In 2006, she opened an architecture and interior design studio – INTER-ARCH Architects in Warsaw. The studio specializes in comprehensive design and implementation of houses and residences. What distinguishes INTER-ARCH is the combination of strong competences both in the field of building architecture and interior design. Such comprehensive care for the creation of new customer homes guarantees consistency and consistency in the entire process, including assistance in the selection and development of a plot or garden arrangement. The portfolio of INTER-ARCH Architects includes designs of single-family houses and housing estates, numerous completed interiors of villas and apartments, as well as commercial buildings, especially restaurants.
Inter-Arch Architekci is the winner of numerous awards in urban planning, architecture and interior design competitions.
How would you describe your personal design style?
In our house designs, we always aim to create a space in which household members can feel comfortable over the years. We accomplish this through individual preparation of tailor-made designs that are justified in functional, formal, and technical terms. Each design by INTER-ARCH Architects is a result of creative dialogue with the investors and is based on our vast experience of many years and the selection of high-quality materials and reliable professionals.
Where does your design inspiration come from?
We draw inspiration for design from the environment and context. The interpenetration of the exterior of the building with the interior is the basis for us to shape the interior space, select materials and design details. Additionally, we are always inspired by the client and his needs. We look for special features for each project, thanks to which we can show the uniqueness of users.
In what direction do you feel that design is moving towards in a general sense?
The most important task faced by architects in the world today is a very conscious approach to design. Today, we must not only take care of the beauty of the created spaces and not even their functionality, but above all, through our projects, influence the ecological awareness of our recipients. The combination of sustainable design, solutions promoting environmental protection with functionality and a unique form should become the basic activity of architects and designers.

How important are The International Design & Architecture Awards?
Working as architects, we check in relations with the client, we check on a daily basis to what extent our projects are able to be implemented. In everyday work, we confront whether our ideas work or whether they affect the lives of recipients and users. Usually, we are very successful in this field through hard work and great commitment. We develop and learn. But only international competitions show us where we are so hard, how much more to do. Awards oblige us to understand that our work does not end with beauty or customer satisfaction. It is the responsibility for the client’s quality of life and for his understanding and perception of space. For us, international awards give us a chance to say something important, allow us to build a brand that in a responsible way can affect people with its design. And thanks to the awards we can reach people and we are listened to.
What projects are you currently working on?
We are currently working on interior designs for both residences and commercial and public buildings. We have also started work on designs of hemp concrete houses and modular housing estates.
What are your aims and goals for the next twelve months?
Next year I would like to develop the company as part of international cooperation, I would like to take part in architectural competitions in the field of ecological architecture and yacht interior design.
