What direction do you feel design is moving towards in general terms?

We believe that design its getting more human, our practice has been focusing on evidence base design that we believe will be more important every day.

 

 

What projects are you currently working on?

We are working on a few corporate buildings , a bank in Guatemala, Publicis in Mexico City and one insurance company in Hawaii.

 

A designer’s work is so diverse – how do you manage to hold down a career and a life?

I have involve my family with my practice, many times my kids come to the office to help with the work .

 

Name five key themes to consider when approaching design in 2014 and beyond.

Sustainability , technology, life balance, social learning, change.

 

If you could offer one piece of advice when it comes to design schemes, what would it be?

We all design to solve human needs, always remember to do humanistic design.

 

How important are The International Design and Architecture Awards as recognition of talent and achievement?

It’s very important, there are not many awards like this one.

 

How do you relax?

I travel.

 

What are your aims and goals for the next twelve months?

We are expanding our practice to Latin America, and we hope we will consolidate our operations in the region.
