Tell us a little about your background in design (education, experience, etc)
I got my degree in ID and spatial design at Salford in Manchester and then prior to starting CDS in 2013 was at Candy & Candy for over 12 years.

How would you describe your personal design style?
Completely Eclectic, I believe you can mix almost anything as long as its personal to you.

Where does your design inspiration come from?
Everyday life and the experience of travelling the world for our projects. At the moment I’m inspired by the cultural eclecticism that I find in all the major cities of China where we have many ongoing projects.

In what direction do you feel that design is moving towards in a general sense?
Sustainability drives so much of what materials are available at the moment, this with a global outlook that is thankfully more financially cautious in setting a far more functional approach to interior design.

Name five key themes to consider when approaching design in 2019 and beyond.
Sustainability, eclectic style, bold colours.

If you could offer one piece of advice when it comes to design schemes, what would it be?
Go with your gut and don’t over think it, if it feels right do it.

How important are The International Design & Architecture Awards?
Hugely important, it’s an honour to be considered for the award and we hold them in very high esteem.

What projects are you currently working on?
We have 10 private residence and development projects in multiple cities across China, as well as 2 commercial and private residences in north Africa, 2 in the US, 2 in south of France and both hospitality and private residence projects in London.

What are your aims and goals for the next twelve months?
Other than closing out our existing projects with happy clients, we would like to do more hospitality projects so will focus on these opportunities but also we will be launching our own furniture collection but also in collaboration with some of the great manufacturers in the industry.

Final thoughts; tell us a little more about yourself and your daily inspirations:
