What direction do you feel design is moving towards in general terms?

A much richer use of materials and more explicitly organic forms.

What are the key influencing elements at present?

Post war American and French design, moving increasingly into a re appraisal of great design from the 1970s.

What sort of projects are you working on at the moment?

Most of our work is residential, in London, Monaco and in the Middle East. We are also embarking on our first commercial project in London.

A designer’s work is so diverse,  how do you manage to hold down a career and a life?

As I love what I do, this has never been a problem. A weekend spent in auction houses and at furniture and art galleries is a perfect weekend.

Name five key essentials for 2013 and beyond.

  • Bronze
  • Brass
  • Silk velvet
  • Straw marquetry
  • Tribal Art

If you could offer one piece of advice when it comes to design schemes, what would it be?

Scale is critical.

How important do you feel Design Awards are as recognition of designers talents and achievements?

It s always a pleasure to have your work recognised, and the design awards are a perfect way of introducing our work to a larger international clients.

What are your aims and goals for the next twelve months?

Simply to carry out our best ever work. We are constantly striving to improve on what we have done previously, and with exciting projects ahead, we are lucky to have the opportunity to be able to rise to this challenge.
