Elicyon have been shortlisted for the Residential £2.5 – £5 Million (Project Value) Award in the International Interior Design & Architecture Awards 2016
Elicyon completed this spectacular five-bedroom apartment in the prestigious One Hyde Park building in Knightsbridge for a private client. The compelling and striking interior design, influenced by the client’s style, is an example of the ultimate in luxury modern living.
Being a Baccarat enthusiast, the client’s extensive collection of vases were to be incorporated into the design, as were specific pieces of furniture. The brief was to create a striking family home for use sporadically throughout the year that would take one’s breath away.
Clean lines and symmetry were a significant element of this brief, with the colour palette and wider creativity open to the team’s instinctive flair. The expert use of opulent materials combined with extraordinary bespoke craftsmanship and detailing has created a truly unique property, with much of the furniture designed bespoke to complement the existing pieces.
The use of symmetry throughout the apartment was a design focus, with each and every angle carefully considered. The replacement of the original base build flooring with high contrast marble, handpicked from Italy, provides a magnificent foundation for the home, with crystal panels by Lalique recessed and under lit creating a breath-taking effect.
