design et al are thrilled to announce that Etcetera Living have been shortlisted for the Gulf States – Living Space Award in the ID&A awards 2015. The Nest villas are a new contemporary collection for Al Barari aimed at the young family market in Dubai. The villas are 4 bedrooms with both maid and driver rooms plus a formal sitting room and family sitting / dining area.
The villas have landscaped gardens both front and back and are situated in the greenery of Al Barari. The client wanted the show villa to reflect a typical family home but with a contemporary feel that would appeal to a younger demographic than the more traditional villas in Al Barari.
The layout is open plan and contemporary in feel and the interior design should reflect the same feeling. The client wanted potential buyers to walk into the villa and immediately envisage themselves living in that space. As such Etcetera Living were asked to keep the lines clean and fresh but also bear in mind the needs of a family with children of varying ages.
The design works so well as the whole house feels light, fresh and airy without feeling bare and clients can actually visualize themselves living in the space. You know that the design works well when the client reports “All Sold” within 48 hours!
