Tell us a little about your background in design (education, experience, etc)
After graduating high school I did an electrician apprenticeship. Already during my apprenticeship I started with electrical designing and overtook the construction management work. I was fascinated by technologies but also by the influence of light. It was first more a hobby doing lighting schemes for relatives and friends and so I continued doing electrical designing for many years. The key for success is a deep technical knowledge. Therefore I decided to study electrical engineering which I graduated in the year 2000. After this life period I collected experiences as a sales engineer for the Middle East. In March 2005 a dream came true when me and two friends were founding Inca Design Ltd.

Inca Design is specialized in manufacturing modern customized design solutions mostly including backlit stone elements. This was and still is a special challenge for me because each project differs and the light solutions have to match with the natural stone’s appearance as well as with constructional, technical and security aspects. Over the years we fulfilled many different projects all over Europe and due to our special sense for light our customers asked more and more for entire lighting schemes.

For reason of the growing demand and the better targeting Inca Design was outsourcing the light department by founding In Light Ltd in June 2013.
