Tell us a little about your background in design (education, experience, etc)
I have a bachelor in Architecture by Universidad Autonoma de Guadalajara.
Before start my own firm in Tabasco Southeast Mexico, I worked in an Interior design company in Mexico City for a year.
I am a truly believer of knowing , so in the past 8 years I have been traveling to the mayor Design fairs In Europe, Asia and the US to find new furnitures, materials and accessories that we can incorporate into our projects.
How would you describe your personal design style?

I am very comfortable listening to my client’s expectations; I never try to change their personal tastes but to drive them through a good design.
We can work in a different range of styles but there are 3 constants with any space and any style, and it is to open it up and access as much as possible all natural light, the use of the finest material available according to the budget of every project and to incorporate custom made details because this personalize the spaces.

Where does your design inspiration come from?
It comes from almost everything, it could be a reflexion in an ice inside a glass, or a single material, or a piece of Art

In what direction do you feel that design is moving towards in a general sense?
Projects need to incorporate new technologies as well as sustainability factors.

Name five key themes to consider when approaching design in 2013 and beyond.
Sustainability
Incorporate new Technologies.
Incorporate new materials.
To do as much as possible ‘custom made design’.
Incorporate a lighting consult.

If you could offer one piece of advice when it comes to design, what would it be?

Every project must be done around a main idea; it is a mistake to blend too many ideas in one single project.
