Lucia Wine Bar & Grill, Harrogate by GMP Design has been successfully shortlisted in the International Hotel & Property Awards 2015 for the Restaurant Award (Global).
The brief was to design a restaurant that provides a Mediterranean inspired food offering in an inviting and sophisticated environment, yet maintaining a Mediterranean feel.
The restaurant is split across two floors and includes private dining areas. By combining the traditional elements of the building with some aesthetically pleasing design elements, the space has become warm and inviting.
Natural lighting has been maximised with the inclusion of a new glass frontage, which allows natural light to flood into the ground floor dining space.
The restaurant offers both outdoor and indoor dining with a main feature to utilise the external balcony to give a unique outdoor dining experience. This outdoor dining space is a key aspect of the project, together with the new glazed frontage to compliment the traditional building.
