Congratulations to Hartmann Designs who have been shortlisted for the Residential £1-2.5 Million Plus (Project by Value) Award in The International Design & Architecture Awards 2016.
The client wanted a total redesign, away from the existing 13 year old, dated décor. The design needed to remain contemporary whilst featuring key timeless and sophisticated pieces. Fine quality finishes and furnishings were desired to define a unique space of indisputable taste and stylish living.
They required a more efficient flow to the layout including relocated wet services. High spec lighting, audio/visual and air-conditioning were essential elements to incorporate into the design. The client didn’t want a ‘safe’ design and wanted to express their love of arts and culture, inspired by their location in the heart of London.
A key aspect for any Hartmann Designs scheme is texture and layering. This South Bank design features many contrasting and complimentary finishes; a highlight of which is the bespoke joinery in the entrance. Combining highly reflective mirror panels with a layered stripy ply, set upon a dark chocolate marble, creates a spectacularly grand entrance.
