Honky have been shortlisted for the Residential £5 Million Plus (Property Value) in The International Design & Architecture Awards 2016.
This expansive triplex is set over the top three floors of Parliament House, offering 360-degree views across London it is a truly exceptional and unique penthouse.
The client first approached honky with concerns the upper floors of the build demanded further consideration to elevate the specification. The first challenge was to work with, rather than against, the angles of the building. Drawing inspiration from the sloping walls and striking architectural lines honky felt compelled to reference the geometric detailing in elements of the design. From your first steps onto the bespoke chevron timber entrance hall, it’s apparent the apartment is distinctive. On entering the Reception entertaining floor, you are immediately hit by the striking views across the capital.
Working with a Tom Ford meets James bond concept the tone of the design for the apartment utilises strong masculine material finishes paired with a lighter tonal colour palette visually creating a more feminine feel. This interplay between the sexes ebbs and flows throughout the interior. The design intention was to create a cohesive sumptuous apartment, which oozed with decadence and sophistication.
