design et al are delighted to announce that HWCD have been shortlisted for Luxury Residence £1-2.5 Million – Global Award in The International Hotel & Property Awards 2019.
The design team really took into consideration how they could link together the past and the future of the city by adapting various decoration lines and the right style, to create an inventive atmosphere. Also, it was critical for the designer to keep all the design details very simple and minimal whilst maximizing the practical function.
The designer concentrates on using the natural patterns of stone and wood and to create a design that brings in natural light. The light and shadow creates an artistic environment and one that increases extensity. As for the choice of furniture and artworks, the designer chose a modern simplistic style to co-ordinate with the whole space.
The interior design of this project implements minimalism, this was achieved by the use of various metal materials, the choice of furniture/artwork and natural patterns. Since the show flat is located in the industrial area of Shanghai, the design blends in with the wider environment and links the history with the future of the city. The core concept is inspired by industrial style but uses a contemporary design method to create simplistic atmosphere.
