design et al are pleased to announce that Cittolin Polli & Associés SA have won in the Restaurant category with Benoît Violier Restaurant de l’Hôtel de Ville in the International Hotel & Property Awards 2014.
The restaurant L’hotel de Ville from chef Benoit Violier was the object of a transformation based on a new concept which refers to awakening of the 5 senses.
The first architectural approach was to create the maximum available volume in this belle epoque house. This included enhancements to the ceilings to the periphery of the rooms including works to allow natural light to highlight the composition of the facade while revealing the quality of the interior volume. The feeling of space and openness is thus maximized.
Different shades of brown amongst other colours were chosen and used throughout, from the stucco walls to internal finishes, bringing a feeling of comfort and a soft light. These natural colors are associated with chocolate brown which, for its part, will give this interior a chic and modern look. The wood used was elm which is an excellent wood to bring a natural feel to the finish. It brings a warmth and friendliness which allows guests to feel at home and relaxed.
The furniture were especially imagined, designed and created to be subtle, serene and above all functional. The architects, designers and fabricators responded to the specific needs of the personal and exclusive service. The kitchen was enlarged by 48m2 to allow a new manner to works and control the different creations of the chefs. All fabricated in the highest quality brushed stainless steel with new technical installations.
