design et al are delighted to announce that Insignia Design Consulting has been shortlisted for City Space (Apartment/Penthouse) Award in The International Design & Architecture Awards 2019.
This London penthouse was an amalgamation of space and luxury giving refuge to an Arabian family of 7 a true palace in the sky that they call home. The client secured 3 adjacent penthouses on the top floor of an apartment block at the southern end of London’s Holland Park. For Insignia Design Consulting, the brief was to convert these three units into one comfortable contemporary home. The apartment would take up an entire floor giving 360 views of the London skyline. This required modifications to the 800 square meter interior frame into an unique and elegant layout that meets new technical requirements yet upholds the distinct luxurious character.
Being a family of seven, the client required the home to be suitable for children of varying ages, each family member was to have a sense of independence yet still feel part of the same home. The clients also wanted to use the spaces for entertaining both friends and business colleagues and hosting other members of the family for short stays, Insignia Design Consulting had to ensure that the home would accommodate all these aspects whilst maintaining luxury standards.
Insignia Design Consulting believe that the success of this project is due to maintaining the client’s luxurious, elegant yet comfortable style. The use of glamorous high-end materials and finishing’s blended with new-age technology features ensures the apartment surpasses the demands of an upscale home that hosts and entertains all alike. Weary of London’s dreary days, the apartment design ensures its inhabitants are kept feeling pampered inside, with luxurious, yet sustainable materials and finishing’s used throughout.
