Irene Pansadoro Interior Design have been shortlisted for the Hotel Suite Award (Europe) in the International Hotel & Property Awards 2015.
The design of the new guestrooms were inspired by 1950’ Milanese homes. It was important to inspire the design to these years with its clean lines and beautiful materials like shagreen, gilded finishes, metal and antiqued mirrors using fashion sketches and black and white fashion photographs from the period for the art.
The art pieces are reproductions of original sketches and photographs of the work of the most famous Milanese fashion designer of the time, Jole Veneziani.
The rooms have a cream background and through the use of grey and accents of black and yellow they link the new rooms to the existing Public Areas. The Interiors of the hotel are very classical and the clean lines of the 50’s create the perfect balance between modernity and history and therefore please both the classical and the modern taste client creating a product that will last in time.
In the structure of the rooms the use of high stucco cornices give an importance to the rooms but has also disguise beams that were found in the rooms due to the the old balconies that had originally been incorporated into the guestrooms before the façade changed.
