design et al are delighted to announce that Issi Design has been shortlisted for Interior Design Scheme Asia Pacific in The International Design & Architecture Awards 2019.
Located in Suzhou Huqiu Wetland Park, this project, by Issi Design, originates from the unique aesthetic of Suzhou itself.
Geometric patterns are used throughout this project to connect the characteristics of different spaces whilst integrating natural stone and metal into the spatial pattern, this can be felt in the way in which the art is integrated into life. Issi Design used light grey and elegant white as the main colour tone, which created a quiet and elegant living space throughout the living space.
The colour pallet chosen in the sitting room was key, where warm greys adorn luxury elegant marble and brass. Issi Design combined this pallet with original elegant materials to create a unique texture throughout using integrated natural stone and metals in the living space, this way the client can feel the art is integrated into life.
The original building was created on four levels to improve space utilization, creating an underground space. The open kitchen increases the interaction between the guest dining room and the kitchen, and the whole space on the ground floor is filled with a sense of unity.
The project is surrounded by urban landscapes and parks, located in Suzhou, China. It is often very difficult to find a natural place in a prosperous city like China. In order to make an impact with this design, Issi Design broke the tradition and created an elite villa in a simple way.
