design et al are delighted to announce that JHR Interiors have been shortlisted for Interior Design Scheme – UK Award within The International Design and Architecture Awards 2017.
This project involved the complete refurbishment of the FF&E of a Grade II Listed Property. Following the success of JHR Interiors previous work with an existing client, they were approached again to create the interiors for a stunning and well-proportioned six-bedroom townhouse in Knightsbridge, London. JHR Interiors were appointed to obtain planning permission and listed building approval for a double basement, as well as new MEP (Mechanical, Electrical & Plumbing) services and FF&E.
JHR Interiors worked alongside BB Partnership Architects to obtain the permissions. The property is also in Knightsbridge Conservation Area. The client decided not to go ahead with the double basement construction, however they required a complete turnkey furnishing and styling ready for their return in the summer. For JHR Interiors, the key aspect of the project was that they managed to retain the listed architectural features using traditional architectural details and they achieved the perfect compromise with the contemporary design of the build-in joinery that they designed.JHR Interiors aim to create innovative and unique designs tailored to every clients’ individual needs, taking into consideration the relationship between the architectural context and the designed interiors. JHR Interiors was established by Badrieh Johari in 2011, with a particular focus on high end, luxury residential and commercial interiors.
