Hedgeroe Home have been shortlisted for Interior Design Scheme – Europe Award in The International Design & Architecture Awards 2020.
Killiney Hill was designed for the modern family. Mixing textures, colours and finishes, Hedgeroe Home’s Design Team created a timeless design which embraces beauty of natural light and materials. Focusing on making the spaces work hard for them, Hedgeroe Home wanted to make the home multi-function in its design so that family living was made easier.
The family home was completely refurbished by the Hedgeroe Home team, and was designed for the clients’ needs. The neutral palette and open plan spacial planning combine to create the perfect space for a young family – one which provides a calming space to be together.
The designers had taken a lot of time to consider how the home could work for the family, and how elements could be cleverly designed to have dual purposes. This can be found in the playroom, which can be transformed into an entertainment space and includes a hidden bar unit.
With the young and growing family, the clients wanted a design which would last and grow with them. The soft, neutral tones throughout the home lead to a classic design, though the layers of textures and materials give the house a contemporary depth. Playful patterns and hints of bright colour work well for a young family whilst still keeping a modern design.
