The 596,044 square foot tower is part of a $1.5-billion, 3.2-million square foot master plan, renovation and expansion. The expansion brings the property’s room inventory to 1,271 keys with the hotel’s existing 465 guestrooms and suites. Showcasing 638 new luxury guest rooms and suites, the iconic Guitar Tower’s design resembles back-to-back guitars in an engineering masterpiece that rises 450 feet into the sky. The seven-story Oasis Tower includes 168 guest rooms with exclusive swim-up suites overlooking the magnificent 18 acres of waterfalls, lazy river and multiple pools comprising a lagoon experience for swimming, kayaking, paddle boarding and more. The resort’s lobby boasts “The Oculus,” a stunning lobby design feature encountered from a new grand 9-lane porte-cochere. The Oculus presents a free choreographed show of greenery, light, water, video and classic rock music.
There are ‘Bora Bora’-style overwater cabanas, a 42,000 square foot Rock Spa & Salon, an indoor retail promenade, a private day club and nightclub, premier meeting and convention space, an elevated poker room and much more. Some 19 unique dining concepts, and 20 bars and lounges are folded in to complement the property’s 24/7 gaming areas including 3,100 slots and more than 190 table games. The new Hard Rock Live includes state-of-the-art technical capabilities to support A-list celebrity and Broadway performances, as well as award shows, sporting events and nationally televised programs with capacity for 7000 in an acoustically and sightline pure, unobstructed venue. The original, 6-lane porte-cochere remains as fully functioning, with a new 7-lane Northeast porte-cochere included in the expansion.
The dynamic curved shape of the iconic Guitar Tower’s design—made to resemble back-to-back guitars—is an engineering and construction masterpiece, as was the process of transforming that singular inspiration into a successful resort experience for guests.
