design et al are delighted to announce that Lonni Paul Design have been shortlisted for Interior Design Scheme – Global Award in The International Design & Architecture Awards 2019.
This 20,000 sq. foot gated home sits on 4 acres overlooking the Pacific Ocean and boasts 9 bedrooms, 15 bathrooms, Olympic sized pool, helicopter pad, bar, screening room, 2 formal living rooms, wine room, tennis court, basketball court, batting cage, 2 firepits, outdoor BBQ with bar, 600 sq. foot kitchen and game room and pool side Cabana. Lonni Paul Design’s favourite aspect of the project is the openness of the home and the stunning ocean views.
The home was previously in disrepair and lacked any design integrity. Iconic completely reworked the exterior and gutted the interior to design a timeless home that could be completely integrated into the beautiful gardens and exterior entertainment area making it the ultimate in California living. The design brief was to add more square footage to the master bedroom on the second floor, to enlarge the family room below it and to add floor to ceiling folding doors across the entire back side of the home. When you enter the front door, you can see all the way through the home and across the backyard expanse to the Pacific Ocean.
The design works because Lonni Paul Design & Iconic Residences wanted to have the ultimate indoor/outdoor lifestyle for this property. The floor to ceiling fold away glass doors truly bring the outdoors in and when the doors are folded back the openings are so large the house almost feels like there are not walls.
