With Interiors by Meriem Hall Design and Archiecture by Yuji Yamazaki, Finolhu Villas expresses all the elements of a Luxury Resort in a relaxed and elegant vocabulary.First Villas et Chalets Luxury Resort New Build by Club Med, located in Maldives features 52 Villas with private pools. It is the story of this elegant traveller who voyages the world in which it has retained and adopted the essential.Every space has its own character but the general design is basically a reflection of various cultures embraced by the traveller and infused with abundant usage of weaving from different materials. The idea of weaving element was taken from the mats “Kunaa” that are locally made in Maldives.
One of the best embellished areas of this development is the Restaurant where the general shape was inspired by Fare Polynesia map. The sunken central bar simulates a canoe wood where you feel like you are sitting at the boat where the bottom is constructed with resilient clear glass to exhibit the seabed and admire its beauty. Major walls are decorated and accented with Sumba’s paddles (Indonesia), Bamileke feather hats (Africa), and huge image of goldfish that reminds of Chinese culture.
Rooms are exquisitely developed to be a place conducive to relax after a long journey. The bed is sitting on the platform which recalls the Japanese style of architecture with woven headboard and tall side mirrors that reflect suspended elegant lights. The patio situated behind of some of the villas gives a different enjoyment of experiencing the breeze in utmost privacy. The exciting colours and elegant furniture supplements the overall breath-taking experience.
Colours in every area that is already entertaining to the guests. The space is symmetrical and straight forward with eclectic decors that shows elements from different places complementing the dark wood and colourful cushions. Weaving and exuberant colours in and out of the suite and the patio that offers the solitude whilst giving you the same outdoor feel. It works so well that it accomplished the luxury without compromising the fun and entertainment that Club Med is known for.It gives an undeniably enticing ambient and impeccable experience.
