Montague House is a magnificent newly built Classical mansion, providing 14,000 sq. ft. of luxurious living with a bespoke design and specification of the highest quality. It is set in beautifully landscaped gardens of about 1.1 acres located in the prestigious St George’s Hill Estate, Weybridge, Surrey. Amidst many beautiful homes in this location it shines brightest in its elegance. The vision was to create a magnificent newly built classical mansion with beautifully restrained luxury, situated within the picturesque grounds of St. Georges Hill, Weybridge.
The brief was to create a house of architectural grandeur, with elegance and opulence throughout, and the highest levels of craftsmanship, this individually designed property is of a traditional red brick design with contrasting brick and stone exterior with some unique features sitting in stunning landscaped gardens. The large forecourt and gardens to the front of the house offer privacy and seclusion with plenty of parking for friends and visitors. Double entrance gates open to give an amazing vista looking onto the house to create a wonderful first impression.
As well as the usual grand entrance hall, dining room, drawing room, sumptuous master bedroom suite Wowhaus Design were also instructed to create a luxury cinema room, wine cellar, bar, swimming pool and spa. All the elements required to create a multi-million-pound property. Working closely with Mountwood Homes, in addition to this the brief was to also incorporate state of the art technical elements within the design which prospective buyers would expect to see. Undoubtedly the best features this house has to offer are the grand entertaining facilities, with the magnificent marble clad staircase with feature mullion and leaded light window leading down to the magnificent lower ground floor with its sumptuous leisure and entertaining facilities. The main relax lounge and grand entertaining room with bar and walk in wine cellar housing over 400 bottles has direct access to and overlooks the swimming pool and spa.
Much focus was placed on providing luxurious living with a bespoke design and specification of the highest quality. With tranquillity and privacy in mind, this secluded grand mansion is quietly located in this idyllic location with views across to the golf course. The designer’s favourite aspect of the project is the feature stone and bronze window to the side of the property frames both the staircase and creates a magnificent feature to the private formal garden. From the interior, it creates a stunning backdrop to the stairs spanning over three levels. Truly a magnificent central focal point of the property which reveals itself on entering the main hallway.
