MPD Studio Launches in London’s Exclusive Chelsea Design District

MPD Studio-3Maurizio Pellizzoni, Director of interior design practice MPD London is delighted to announce the launch of the MPD Studio in London’s exclusive Chelsea design district. The studio is located off Lots Road, a stone’s throw from the international design destination Chelsea Harbour Design Centre – perfectly placed for delivering the exclusive design service MPD London is known for. The launch marks the extraordinary rise of MPD London on the luxury design scene after reaching multi-award winning status in 2012 where MPD took home awards for residential design categories at the International Design & Architecture Awards and the Society of British Interior Design Awards.

Design

The MPD Studio serves as a multi-layered, collaborative design/lifestyle concept providing inspiration, vision and an interactive design space for the team and clients. The aim ultimately, to deliver the luxury interior design service to private individuals and commercial clients from initial ideas to final installation in a tailored and highly creative way. The studio has been designed by Maurizio Pellizzoni to portray elements of MPD ‘life-styling’ and will also provide a revolving gallery with guest exhibitions from various sources.

Details

Devising an original scheme for this multi-faceted space came naturally to lifestyle expert Maurizio. The entrance to the Studio is flanked with two welcoming club chairs designed by MPD London, upholstered in a subtle light grey cashmere by Ralph Lauren, whilst a Scottish reindeer antler is a striking contrast against dark walnut panelled walls. The design combines tactile materials with elegant luxurious detailing to create depth and interest within the space.

A mezzanine level overlooks the main studio space where clients meet with the MPD team around the contemporary Ralph Lauren Lancaster glass table matched with black leather chairs. The centrepiece is the spectacular Terzani ‘Atlantis’ chandelier installation – a shimmering light produced by hundreds of illuminated lengths of draped gold chain.

The project was completed within an interior design budget of £65,000.
