design et al are pleased to announce that Neoklasika have been shortlisted for a Bespoke Cabinetry award in the International Product Design Awards 2016.
The design pays homage to the timeless elegance of the Art Deco era. Neoklasika was inspired by the ideas that the aesthetics of Art Deco represents; the synergy between sophisticated graphic lines and functionality in design is enhanced by the glamour of luxurious materials.
The original brief was to create a bespoke dresser combining high functionality in a variety of storage possibilities and a state-of-the-art design that would charm with exceptional materials and its elegant lines.
The discrete and refined design is unisex. It becomes more feminine or masculine by choosing wood or textile finishing materials. Neoklasika created a dresser that can be customised to the personality of its owner; the options of finishing materials (palisander, jacaranda, Makassar veneer e.t.c.) and bespoke textiles create endless combinations.
The dresser was designed to aim for perfection in proportion. The aesthetics and detail in form allows it to be placed either by the wall or as a free-standing sculptural piece. The design effortlessly fits in classical and contemporary interiors. It works as a treasure chest that invites to store precious accessory collections highlighting the owner’s passions and lifestyle.
The design was created with great devotion to the values it represents and Neoklasika is very excited to share it with the design world.
