The No.12 Collection No.1 – Stool is a striking piece that encapsulates No.12’s deep rooted design ethos. Their design aesthetic is wholly contemporary yet respectfully classic. No.12 Studio’s design is bold, comfortable and elegantly masculine. Holding craftsmanship in high regard, they combine warm materials with clean lines, and fine detailing.
Part of a wider collection due to be launched September 2020 the stool is that of a unique design holding its own within any residential space it inhabits.
Playing with the preconception of tradition and modernity, No.12 incorporate contemporary insertions of marble with traditional British casting practices. The carefully considered proportions arrive at the perfect combination of the three materials creating a dramatic and luxurious aesthetic.
Softness is added to the piece through upholstery wrapping in a rich desaturated blue velvet, only interrupted by the insertion of two 30mm honed ‘Arabescato’ marble discs.
The body sits upon cast brass lion’s feet, a nod to the classically British design reference. The national animal symbol of the Lion’s paw, representing strength and courage. No.12 Studio collaborated with Collier Webb Foundry, a family business and specialist in their field with over 40 years of experience. Allowing only the best of British to create the exclusive mould unique to No.12 Studio.
