Shortlisted for the Home Cinema Award at the International Design and Architecture Awards 2012, this sophisticated cine sanctuary by Hill House Interiors provides a luxurious, comfortable and glamorous space with a twist; it is also coupled with the latest HD and 3D technology.
Hill House had been brought in to create an entire scheme for this stunning mansion in a new build home. The owners are a couple, who travel extensively, and have 2 grown up sons. The cine room would have a universal appeal to the whole family, and be a special ‘chill out’ zone – for total relaxation.
The client demanded the very latest in technology, so Hill House paid the upmost attention to detail on this front. Even going as far as loading the client’s extensive DVD collection onto a hard drive, allowing them to be selected at the touch of an iPad, for the client’s viewing pleasure.
With a budget in the region of £50,000, Hill House selected a Draper Euroscreen Frame Vision fixed Screen with React 11 Surface Optoma Themescene Projector with High Definition and Real World Contrast Performance. This was coupled with an Onkyo Amplifier, Onkyo DVD and a Sub Polk Audio DSW Micro Pro ultra compact sub woofer touch screen remote control and handset receiver with wireless controller.
This room definitely has the wow factor! From the hand selected black and white photo gallery to the supersized studded daybeds everything oozes allure and glamour. The high impact interiors are perfectly balanced with sheer luxury and comfort, incorporating all the latest technology that the client demanded.
Traditionally, cinema rooms can be very masculine, with the leather chairs and giant unsightly speakers. This room subverts expectations, with its moody platinum metallic wall covering, dramatic crystal wall lights, cleverly concealed speakers and sumptuous fabrics. The space creates a feeling of indulgent escapism, without losing any of the latest cutting edge technology.
